"At NORAD Mountain, the stronghold of the National Interest, Mr. Duchloss is informed that the miners have refused to work after being attacked by Indian spirits. Mr. Duchloss says that the National Interest is not interested in the reservation's natural resources. He is looking for more alien technology like Sorcerer. Duchloss plans to go to New Mexico as soon as he raises a new Shadrach. And with the Spear of Destiny, they will defeat the Spectre if he attempts to interfere. Once they collect all the pieces of the American Talisman, they can re-create the icon in their own image, embodying their vision of what the United States should be."
